Poppy strudel is favorite for many people who tasted it. It´s suitable for any occasion and it´s very easy to make.
200 g poppy
1 tsp yeast
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tps oil
In deciliter of warm milk put yeast and sugar, and leave until the of the dough has expanded volume.
Add to warm milk, oil, salt and just flavour enough to make a form with your hands that you can develop a dough with a rolling pin.
In a bowl heat 1dcl milk and melt the sugar, add ground poppy. (If you like add more raisins, cinnamon, any other…)
Roll out the dough thinly perhaps half a cm. and apply the filling and wrap the strudel.
Leave for about 15 minutes to get volume.
Smear it with egg yolk and bake in about 160 C for about forty minutes.
Baked strudel sprinkle with powdered sugar.
This is a measure for one strudel long large oven, who needs more, just double the ingredients.
